When the City Hall was inaugurated in 1923, a City Hall regatta was organized for archipelago cruisers and other wooden boats on Riddarfjärden. Now we do it again!
We celebrate the City Hall's birthday by reliving the City Hall Regatta 100 years later. With exciting sailing competitions and try-on activities for Stockholmers, we create a wonderful party atmosphere around Riddarfjärden. The City Hall Regatta runs from 16–18 June 2023.
In addition to a race for the same wooden boats that participated 100 years ago and similar boats, we will also offer sailing in the most modern format in the form of a women's sprint competition.
The City Hall Regatta - Classic is organized by the Gaff Yacht Society Racing Club (GYS RC) and KSSS in collaboration with the City of Stockholm as part of the celebration of the City Hall, which turns 100 years old in 2023.
